When it comes to having the best bucks night ever, there isn’t really some predefined party plan that’s guaranteed to be fun for everyone.
Obviously there’s the traditional pub crawl with strippers and embarrassing moments that leave the buck handcuffed naked to a pole and someone missing an eyebrow. But then again, this isn’t considered a great night out for everyone.
Some people prefer less alcohol and more interaction. The idea of a bucks night is not only to give your mate a sendoff to remember; it’s also to remind them that this is their last day of freedom before being ‘tied’ down.
If you really want to give them a day/night to remember, one that they will really enjoy and not just you or the guys; then first ask yourself;
What would the buck truly enjoy doing?

Buck Party Games
There are many different types of games that you can play at a bucks party. Drinking games are best done early into the night. Other, more classical skill or luck-based games can be played throughout the night. Some of these games can be combined together, or even included in with other entertainment ideas.
1) Poker Night
You can attend one of the poker nights that take place at various venues throughout the region or you could host your own.
If you choose to host your own poker night, it could be played for money, bragging rights, or even as a game of risk where there can be lighthearted consequences for loosing, or bonuses for play specific cards.
2) Most Likely
Early into the night, everyone gathers around a cluster of shot glasses. These shot glasses can be filled with whatever you wish, all alcohol, some vodka some water, or the foulest and most terrible tasting stuff you can think of.
Each person takes turns asking “who would most likely…” inserting their question. For example, “who would most likely lose their keys tonight?” Or “who would most likely send an email complaining about their boss, to their boss?”
Everyone then points to the person who they think would best suit the question being asked. If you are choosing to play the game with lots of alcoholic shots; then each person is to take shots equal to the number of people pointing to them. If you are playing with humorous concoctions that no one would want to drink, then the person who has the most votes must takes a shot. When a tie occurs, both parties are required to take a shot each.
3) I Never
Similar to Most Likely, I Never has the group sitting around together taking turns saying “I never…” inserting a topic or scenario. Anyone who has in fact done this then takes a swig or a shot.
This is a great way to learn a few things about your mates that you’ve never known. It’s also a great way to be crafty and turn the game on the buck. If you happen to know of a few things that they’ve gotten up to in their life, feel free to use it against them and embarrass them in front of the guys, while getting them hammered.
4) Scavenger Hunt
Ever played scavenger hunt as a kid? Your goal is to find items on the list or even tasks to complete. The first person to complete the list or at least do the most is the winner.
What’s on the list is entirely up to you. It could be a bunch of simple tasks, like drink shots or cocktails, or buying the buck the girliest drink at the bar.
Or it could be silly things designed to embarrass or humiliate the person doing it, or better yet the buck. You may even want to make it a challenge. If you know for a fact that the buck’s not likely to comply so easily, maybe task the guys with getting someone to give the buck their number, or plant a kiss on the buck. It doesn’t have to be on the lips, just somewhere that a lipstick mark could be left.
5) Beer Pong
Rack up the cups at the far end of the table and split up into two teams. Each member of the team takes turns trying to bounce a ping-pong ball into one of the cups.
Each cup could be worth one point, or you could choose to allocate points to specific cups. Alternatively, you could also have a special cup that if scored, could penalize the team, or reward a bonus.
By the end of the game, points are tallied and each team must down the number of drinks equal to the points scored by the other team.
6) Buck’s Bingo
If you know the buck well enough to know that they tend to fall back onto several talking points throughout the night, write them down on a list.
If there’s a lot of topics that they’ll cover, make up some bingo cards to hand out to the guys. If it’s more of a shortlist of words, phrases, or interests, turn it into a drinking game for the guys where they have to take a shoot or a swig, every time the buck brings up one of the topics. This could be things such as the footy, music, the missus’s name, work, or even their inevitable wedding.
7) A Rose By Another Name
All drinks for the buck are free for the night, with everyone taking turns shouting him his drink. But, whenever a girl is found that just so happens to have the same name as his wife to be, the buck himself must buy them a drink out of his own wallet.
8) Bum Bag Treasures
Fill a bum bag with wrapped lollies and treats and give them to the buck to wear. Slap a sign on their back that says “I’m the Buck. Help Yourself To Some Free Candy!” and watch the buck get uncomfortable as strangers just start rummaging through his bum bag.
9) Game Night
If you are a bunch of friends that love playing games together, be it board games, cards, or video games why not just make a night of it? You can even combine your choice of gaming, with some of the other forms of entertainment.
Bucks Party Entertainment Options That Are in the Area (Wollongong)
You don’t just need to limit yourself to playing party games. Where you choose to have the buck’s party can also add value to the day’s/evening’s entertainment.
1) Pub Crawl
You can start the night off at any of our local clubs or restaurants that serve food and alcohol, before starting the pub crawl. Just be mindful to plan around the lockout laws; that way you can finish up your night at your preferred venue of choice.
2) Private Party/Function
Having a private party rather than hitting the local pubs has its own benefits. It allows you to have control who will be there, as well as the type of entertainment and music you would be having.
–Able to Play Party Games–
Any or all of the above party games can be played at a private party. If you wanted to play a game of poker or beer pong at one of the local pubs, it could result in your group being asked to stop or leave. This is because it could be in conflict with some licensing laws.
–B.Y.O–
How much you’re actually allowed to drink is limited when you go to pubs and clubs. In a private residence, how much you can drink is up to you. Just be sure to have transportation home prearranged for those who will need it.
–Function Rooms and Hall Hire–
If you don’t have the space to host all the guests, there are several businesses in Wollongong that offer rooms and function halls that can be rented out for the night.
The benefit of renting a function room is that most of them come with their own sound system, and can even provide their own security, and bar services.
The drawback is that RSA laws will apply to function rooms that serve in house alcohol, and they have limitations on the types of entertainment that you are allowed to have.
–Adult Entertainment–
Depending on where you are having your private bucks party, you may want to consider hiring some additional side entertainment.
This can come in the form of dancers, the more traditional buck’s party strippers, or even topless waitresses. If you know an escort yourself, ask her if she knows anyone that can provide these services.
Otherwise have a look through our classifieds, contact a local business such as Tam’s on 45, or have a look through our list of local adult service businesses.
3) Barefoot Bowls Party
Barefoot Bowls can be a fun and relaxing time spent with friends, ideal for the more laidback kind of buck. The local barefoot bowls are carried out at Wiseman Park Bowling Club, who can arrange catering packages to feed the whole crew.

4) Paintball
Paintball is a fun and tactical game that can be played with friends, enemies, and future in-laws. If your buck is more of the rough and tumble adventurous type, they may find paintball to be a pleasant surprise.
Luckily we have a pretty decent paintball range right here in the Illawarra. Located in Stanwell Tops, Alpha Paintball can offer you the option of dressing the poor buck up in some really “purdy” costumes. That way not only do they look silly, but they can’t hide, not even from the odd accidental friendly fire now and then.

Final Thoughts
However, you choose to celebrate your mate’s last day of freedom is entirely up to you and the guys. Just be sure to do something that the groom to be will actually enjoy doing. Remember that this needs to be just as enjoyable for him as it is for you.
